For more than a century, UP Los Baños College of Agriculture (UPLB-CA) has been globally recognized in the fields of plant breeding, food processing, and manufacturing and storage
innovations.
On March 4, the best emerging technologies developed by UPLB-CA will be presented to the public during the second Laguna Business and Investment Exposition (LBIX). LBIX 2010 will be held at Enchanted Kingdom in Sta. Rosa, Laguna.
“We have developed numerous technologies in our 100 years of existence, and that is why we continue to let people know—to have investors, and to commercialized the technologies,” explains Professor Nelita M. Lalican of the Agricultural Systems Cluster of CA-UPLB, and currently the coordinator of extension of the college. Among the technologies to be presented during LBIX 2010 are as follows:
Plant Breeding
Food Processing
Manufacturing and Storage
Many of these UPLB-CA developed technologies have been given local and international recognition. With LBIX 2010, UPLB CA aims to partner with potential investors to bring the
product of a hundred years of research into a wider market.
