The UPLB RDE News Service is an online news service operated and maintained by the University of the Philippines Los Baños. It provides a central portal through which units and personnel of the university engaged in research can bring their news to the media. This website also offers its news and resources to the general public. This website features news and resources focused on all areas of agriculture, biotechnology, the arts and sciences, development communication, engineering and agro-industrial technology, economics and management, forestry and natural resources, human ecology, public affairs, veterinary medicine, and environmental science and management. Public Information Officers
We offer a number of services to university Public Information Associates (PIAs), some of which will require a subscription. PIAs from university units interested to have their own accounts can contact us via email

for their accounts. Once accounts are activated, PIAs can use the portal to distribute news and other resources to reporters.
The Public
The general public is welcome to browse and use all information made freely available. Public users have access to nearly all areas of this website, with the exception of the some special sections.
Finding Information on this Website
If you are looking for information, you may do so by clicking on any topic under the Sections, or access the Categories or by typing specific information into the Search window.
To access archived news for use in a news story, you need to register as either a reporter or a freelancer. To submit press releases and features to us, you must register via email as a public information officer or PIA.
Use of Site RSS Feeds We are pleased to offer news content to users in the form of RSS feeds. Our RSS is a free service for noncommercial use. RSS feeds allow users to automatically monitor when a Web site changes its content. Through these feeds, users can get the latest headlines in one place, as soon as they are published, without having to visit our main site.
